Terms & Conditions – Odyssey Painting Holidays

If we cancel your booking

A course needs a minimum number of three students. In the unlikely case of this is not being attained, we will then either offer you alternate dates or refund your deposit and fees. Under no circumstances shall our liability exceed the amount paid to ‘Henry Cook’ for the course fees.

Covid

If due to Covid, governments cancel your flights then we will offer a place on a future course. If this isn’t acceptable then we will refund the full amount, less the deposit.

If you need to cancel your booking

The deposit is non-refundable. However, if we are able to fill your place, we will reimburse you in full. You can transfer your booking to another person. Notification of cancellation or transfer must be given in writing.

Force majeure

Refunds do not apply when your course is cancelled as a result of risk or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control. However we will do everything possible to be fair and reasonable in these circumstances.

Misadventure

Unfortunately, we cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage that you may suffer during the period of your course, including travel and transport, due to accident, illness, bodily injury, or loss or theft of equipment or belongings.

Mobility

We will provide the optimum painting experience and ensure that logistics are taken care of (shade, location of conveniences, beverages, seating where appropriate etc) but it is your responsibility to be adequately fit to paint for a minimum of four hours a day outside.  The course requires a minimum level of mobility i.e. that you can carry your art materials up to 100 metres & climb a flight of stairs, bearing in mind that some terrain may not be level. If you do suffer any misadventure, you will be promptly referred by taxi or ambulance to a medical specialist at either a pharmacy, doctor or hospital ( medics and pharmacists on Ithaca are English-speaking).

Insurance

All painters & partners must have appropriate health and travel insurance.

Accommodation

Depending on the size of the group we aim for students to stay in our own accommodation or a villa of similar quality and standard nearby. This will be confirmed at the point of booking. If third party accommodation is used, we will confirm their terms and conditions at the point of booking. If our own villa (www.ithacavilla.com) then the above clauses apply.
